Trap Couture
Trap Couture kicked off the week leading up to Trap SOCA, and I directed the event as part of shaping the overall vision for Trap SOCA Week. The runway show fused trap culture with fashion, highlighting how Hip Hop’s influence shaped style, attitude, and self-expression. From emerging campus DJs to makeup artists and clothing stylists, the week focused on showcasing the creative talent that kept campus culture fresh and authentic.
For Trap Couture, I created four collections representing different sides of hip-hop fashion. The Traditional Collection highlights classic streetwear with Caribbean flair, blending Trap and SOCA energy. The Alternative Collection explores a darker, gothic-inspired streetwear aesthetic with leather, mesh, and chains. The Avant-Garde Collection pushes boundaries with bold silhouettes and experimental textures. The Icons Collection pays tribute to legendary and modern hip-hop figures, recreating their signature style on the runway.
