Color Palette and Mascot Design

For Sextacy 2026: Sextaterrestrial, my main goal was color! The previous theme was Angels verses Devils, and the direction I went was heavy on black and red. For this year I wanted to play with as much color as possible which is what inspired the neon color palette.

For the mascot “Suzy” the goal is to always keep her as the most extreme embodiment of a Sextacy outfit. Again the event is centered around showign a lot of skin and sexual references. For her outfit I wanted to choose something that showed a lot of skin and was extreme. I knew for the main flyer I wanted to see Suzy on a rocket flying across the page. I chose character designer Giuseppe Cozzolino, a New York based artist who’s designed for other well known celebrities.

Branding and Aesthetics

Since Sextacy is the largest event run by a student organization, strong outreach was essential. I wanted to create an experience that extended beyond just the party itself, making the rollout feel immersive from the very beginning.

For the branding and overall aesthetic, I established purple, teal, and pink as the core color palette and carried it consistently across the entire Instagram. I redesigned the highlight icons to align with the Sextacy identity and introduced an updated logo, which was first revealed in the theme announcement video.

Throughout the entire rollout period, every post was intentionally designed to fit within this visual system. I chose to maintain this consistency even for posts not directly tied to Sextacy promotion, ensuring that any new audience member could immediately recognize what we were building toward. The cohesive color scheme, updated icons, and branding created a clear and unified identity that strengthened both recognition and anticipation for the event.
